Pianist James Rhodes undertakes a journey to learn about the women whose voices influenced composer Frederick Chopin. Travelling to Warsaw, Paris and London, he reflects on the appeal of soprano Konstancja Gladkowska, Polish countess Delfina Potocka, opera singer Pauline Viardot and Swedish star Jenny Lind. He also performs a selection of the musician's works and Natalya Romaniw sings arias that inspired him. Featuring contributions by Emmanuel Ax, Garrick Ohlsson, Adam Zamoyski and Jeremy Siepmann
